Nugzar Lortkipanidze

He was born on January 10, 1941, in Tbilisi. In 1976 he graduated from the Shota Rustaveli Theatre and Film Georgia State University, Faculty of Theatre Directing.

Between 1976 and 1983 he was a chief director of Telavi Drama Theatre. From 1983 until 1996 he worked as a director at the Tumanishvili Film Actors Theatre, whilst also working for the Georgian Television and the Shota Rustaveli Theatre and Film Georgia State University. From 1996 he was a chief director of Kutaisi Opera and Drama Theatre. He has staged more than 60 productions.
