He was born on December 24, 1903, in the village of Tsalenjikha, Tsalenjikha region.

He graduated from Tbilisi Drama Studio in 1926. He worked as an actor in various Georgian theatres from 1926 to 1936. From 1936 he was in the Georgian company of the Armenian Theatre. He performed dramatic and comedic roles.
