Akaki Getsadze

Writer

He was born on October 16, 1923, in Tsesi village, Oni district.

He graduated from Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University in 1953.

He participated in World War II (1942-1947), working as a correspondent for the Republic’s main newspaper, Communist, in Racha-Lechkhumi.

From December 1957 until 1960 he worked for the newspaper Tbilisi, then as secretary of the Prose Section of the Writers’ Union. He is the author of about 50 books of various genres.
