She was born in June 1952 in Tbilisi. Graduated from: Medical Faculty of Tbilisi State Medical Institute in 1975; Faculty of Arts at Tbilisi State University in 1977; Shota Rustaveli Theatre and Film Georgia State University, Faculty of Theatre directing, in 1981.

She has been working at the Shota Rustaveli Theatre and Film Georgia State University since 1980. State TV and Radio Company, director, 1984-2002, 2003-04. She was the author and host of Channel 2’s Movie Nostalgia programme. Imedi TV, director, 2003-04.
