Giorgi (Gia) Kitia

Director

He was born on February 27, 1956. From 1973 until 1979 he studied at GITIS, Russian Institute of Theatre Arts, directing department.

Work:  

1981 to present, pedagogue at Shota Rustaveli Theatre and Film Georgia State University.

1981-1987 – director at the Tbilisi Youth Theatre.

1987-2007 – principal director at the Tbilisi Youth Theatre.

2003 to present – chief director of the charity fund Iavnana.

He has staged about 70 musical productions, stage shows, circus productions and mass spectacles. As a music performer, he has worked on about 30 productions. As a theatre and film actor, he has performed about 40 roles.
