He was born on November 11, 1967, in Tbilisi.

He graduated from the Shota Rustaveli Theatre and Film Georgia State University, Faculty of Television and Drama Directing. Then he moved to Sokhumi, where he worked as a director in the Sokhumi State Drama Theatre.
